We have been promoting the planning profession in Massachusetts since 1961! MAPD is dedicated to providing educational and networking opportunities, and legislative advocacy for those engaged in planning within the Commonwealth.

Education   

Stay up-to-date on the latest planning topics and projects at monthly Lunch'n Learn workshops, the annual conference, and events in partnership with allied organizations.  Most workshops and events are CM-eligible.

Advocacy 

MAPD is the eyes and ears on state legislative matters of importance to planners. Our legislative team strives to represent the perspective of the planning professional--the practitioners on the front lines--- to legislative partners and state agencies. 

 

Networking

Fellowship, friendship, and fun. What could be better?!? MAPD members feel truly  connected to the planning profession in the Commonwealth and to each other through our many educational workshops, social gatherings,  and other informal networking opportunities.
